Isabelle Gros

"I abduct the imprint of gesture in motion frozen instantly on my paintings to reincarnate them into bodies of skin. My sculptures of female legs and busts in soft velvet skins, seductive Toile de Jouy, sensual vinyl flesh, give volume to what was only a trace. The canvas again becomes my flesh, the color my skin, the gesture my imagination. The combinations of materials, the color codes, revolve around current themes of fashion, customs, culture, allowing glimpses of the desirable and the desired, the unspeakable and intimate part of femininity. On a couch, on your bed or sitting in your seat brainstorming, the "someone loves you" are mischievous sculptures that carry subliminal messages, unique works of art made of fragments of life, touches of humor. An artwork that leads us to reflect on the workings of our desires, influenced by fashion trends and currents of thought, a mosaic of seduction and sophisticated suggestions that offer themselves to our judgment and senses. Isabelle Gros studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. A painter-visual artist, she lives between Paris and Miami and exhibits in many countries. In 2005 she opened her studio in Paris and created the current "Art's Fashion." A new concept that combines sculpture with fashion and design trends.
